We are an individual club belonging to, the "Girls Who Code" program. We are run by library staff at the East Flagstaff Community Library in Flagstaff, Arizona. What is the "Girls Who Code" program (GWC)? The "Girls Who Code" program is an international non-profit organization working to close the gender gap in technology. Their programs educate, and inspire girls and young individuals who identify as female with the computing skills they need to pursue 21st century opportunities. What is the East Flagstaff Community Library (EFCL)? The East Flagstaff Community Library is one of two local libraries belonging to the Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library in Flagstaff, Arizona. The club at the East Flagstaff Community Library is open to all teens between the ages of 12 - 17. The club is geared primarily towards girls and those who identify as female because they tend to be underrepresented in the field of Computer Science, but all are welcome! |
